It is important to understand that this product is perfect for specific use and not for other uses.What is it perefect for:===================It is ideal for WIDE spice jars or any adopted spice jars that are very large, about the size of a can of soda in diameter or more. They are also perfect for other substances like jello packets, or any mini boxes or bags of stuff.What is NOT ideal for:=================It is not ideal for small 6 o or 4 oz spice jars like you can find in your local supermarket spice section,you know they kind, the army of little jars... that kind.. .like you can find at Whole Foods and other stores.Those jars are small and one row of those jars on this rock will look funny, goofy and wasteful in term of space. Now, put few rows of those spice, like two or three, yes, you can but to me it bits the purpose because then you can not see the spice at the glance and find it right away. So if this is your thing , to economize on space. Then this is your shelf.Material:=======Nice clear acrylic, very professional looking. Remove the coating film from it or it won't be clear as it needs to be. Just find the little beginning with your fingernail at the edge and pull it off.Looks:======Very clean modern look.Quality:======Very nice item, good quality, well made.TIPS:=====Strategize!Be careful how you space them because they can't be in a way of the shelf. Otherwise the door won't close.So you need to plan how to space them so they will look how you want them to look but then you needto adjust the space between the shelves.SUPER TIP.. MOTHER OF ALL TIPS :)..==============================I did NOT want to screw anything into my door, I did not want to damage them just in case of moving out and or changing my mind about them. So I used a double sticky tape I had left over from my other project.That tape is so user friendly, very clear and so strong that can stick a car to the driveway if you must..So I just cut few three inch strips and placed it on the back of the shelf and just stick it to it.The tape won't let go. I have used it in more challenging situations to know that it can manage this type of weight without any sweat. I am really happy how it turned out. Also, I made one boo boo with one shelfbeing bit crooked as I tend to eyeball the level and I am pretty good at that except this time one was off by a quarter inch or so, so I just went and removed it right off and repositioned as needed. Wooha..perfect. I hate screws. They are very sturdy, can take a lot of weight on and just look great on my cabinet doors.Adhesive is poor, racks have fallen down multiple times. Waste of money.I put up these shelves on the side of our melamine cabinets. I initially applied the adhesive in one long strip, and the shelves ended up falling off when I put spice jars in them.I put them up again, this time cutting the adhesive into smaller strips and spacing them a couple inches apart. This has worked much better— they haven’t budged.You may want to use a level because it’s very noticeable when they’re crooked. :)The shelves fell off after about two weeks of holding. They looked really nice and I was so excited. Only put spices on the shelves and followed adhesive directions.FYI the adhesive is still stuck to my wall and is extremely difficult to remove. Kind of defeats the point of using adhesive if it damages the walls anyway. I think if you use the screws it’s a great product but not renter friendly.These are not clear and look extremely cheap. Thumbs down. Returning…Product came in standard cardboard packaging, with bubble wrap, however, one unit was cracked in several places which resulted in three small broken off pieces. I glued it back together and just installed it inside kitchen cabinet, where the flaws can't be easily seen, so as to avoid any further wait or hassle to return it.Other than that, they work well for my spices, and the installation was easy and appears strong.Be sure to measure your mounting surface before you order.
